SODIUM HYDROXIDE FLAKES AND PEARLS

Sodium hydroxide (chemical formula: NaOH; other names: caustic soda, lye, sodium hydrate, soda lye, caustic alkali, grease soda) is a metallic base that belongs to the group of inorganic compounds. Dissolved in water, it forms a strongly alkaline solution. It was first named sodium hydroxide in 1736 by French scientist Henri Louis Duhamel du Monceau(wd). Due to its strong basic properties, it is widely used in the chemical industry, mainly in the textile and paper industries, as well as in the production of soaps and detergents.
